Volume 1In this masterclass, you will learn how different drum set beats are played with the djembe. The first of the two volumes shows mostly simpler beats, while some rhythms are more complex. All the lessons start with the drum set beat shown first, followed by the djembe drum version of that same beat.
The drum set and the djembe drum are filmed using 3 cameras – that is 6 angles in total. After finishing this masterclass, you will be able to play many different beats with the djembe, which are familiar in modern musical pop culture.
Volume 2The second course of the two-part series continues where the last one left off. In this masterclass, there are mostly more complex beats, while some rhythms are simpler. The natural flow of teaching remains – first the drum set beat, then the djembe version with a similar tempo, followed by a slow demonstration with the djembe.
This course includes many different finger strokes with both hands since the beats are more nuanced. After finishing this masterclass, you will be able to play many complex beats with tricky illustrations, giving the rhythms wonderful flavor.
