Early days
Drums came to my life in summer 1999. Dad started teaching me the drum kit and I was instantly hooked. Rock music found me, so my learning process was heavily influenced by nu-metal.
Paiste connection
Four years into learning, I landed a deal with Swiss-based drum cymbal company Paiste, after entering into a drum competition in local Tallinn. This endorsement helped me greatly and inspired me to keep learning even harder.
2005 onwards
People started coming to me for know-how on learning the drum set. That’s when my first private lesson clients appeared - at good-old parents’ basement. The drum shows I played with my family with drum sets was replaced with percussion instruments - including, for the first time, the djembe drum.
The 2010s
I started to play the djembe drum at gatherings where people come together and sing songs. I found myself playing on islands in Thailand and Bali, also performing locally with musicians and shamans - all with just the djembe drum.
These days
Over a thousand drum shows and countless kirtans, bhajans and heartsong circles later, I spend my time raising my son, creating new courses for this platform and rocking the gym whenever I can.
