The Platform
The Djembe Master platform was founded by Ian Mikael Kirss - an Estonian drummer turned Paiste artist turned drum teacher. With a background in classical piano and drumming at gatherings all over the world, Ian pioneered a new approach to the djembe drum.
In 2020, djembemaster.com launched its first courses. Three years later the platform had clients in 40 countries on all 7 continents. The Djembe Master YouTube channel has gained over 17,000 subscribers.
2023 saw many structural upgrades as the platform gained new stakeholders and started providing products in addition to services.
